Class Information
Children's Classes Creative Movement & Pre-Ballet Ages 4 - 6 Beginning with Creative Movement, students learn to develop coordination, rhythm and their imaginations in a creative and fun atmosphere. Pre-Ballet introduces students to the very basics of ballet and continues work on rhythm, balance, and individual creativity.
Plastique & Character Plastique classes are much like Pilates with added emphasis on the grace and line required of a dancer. In Character the focus is on the national dances of Europe like the Polka, Czardas and Mazurka which are featured in many full length classical ballets.

Student Classes - Ballet 1 through 5 Ages 7 and above Upon entering Ballet 1, students begin to work in a more structured and focused environment, learning a graduated and carefully planned curriculum. After developing a strong foundation in Ballet 1, 1A, and 2, students are introduced to Plastique and Character classes in Ballet 3. Pointe work is carefully introduced in Ballet 4. In Ballet 5 students continue their development, adding Variations where they learn individual roles from famous ballets. Students reaching this level will find the emphasis shifting from the technical accomplishments to individual artistry.
Teen & Adult Classes The Teen & Adult classes are for dancers interested in the benefits that ballet has to offer without the intense training requirements of the student classes. Students new to ballet should start with the Beginning Ballet class which introduces the language and basic steps of ballet in a way that is fun and easy to learn.
